Renowned manga creator Fumio Obata is set to captivate readers once again with his latest work, ‘Otona no Susume’ (An Adult’s Recommendation), a violence suspense manga that follows a father’s relentless pursuit to save his son from organized crime.

Described as a ‘violence suspense’ manga, ‘Otona no Susume’ delves into the gripping story of a father’s relentless pursuit to save his son from a life entangled in organized crime. The series promises to deliver a thrilling and suspenseful narrative that will keep readers on the edge of their seats.
Obata, known for his previous work ‘Shimauma,’ which was serialized in Shonengahosha’s Young King magazine in 2010, has proven his talent for crafting compelling and thought-provoking stories. ‘Shimauma’ was so well-received that it was adapted into a live-action film in 2016, starring Kyoko Hinami.
In addition to ‘Shimauma,’ Obata has also contributed to the manga world through his spinoff of Tetsuya Tsutui’s ‘Prophecy’ (Yokokuhan) manga, titled ‘Yokokuhan: The Copycat’. Originally published in Shueisha’s Jump X magazine, the series later moved to Young Jump in 2015. Obata concluded the manga in August 2015, with the third and final volume released that same month.
