MAPPA Announces New Original Anime ZENSHU with Main Cast and Staff Revealed

MAPPA Announces New Original Anime ZENSHU with Main Cast and Staff Revealed
MAPPA, the renowned anime studio, has announced the production of a new original television anime called ZENSHU. Along with this exciting news, the studio has unveiled the main cast, staff members, a teaser visual, and a teaser promotional video for the upcoming anime.

ZENSHU is based on an original work by Mitsue Yamasaki, Kimiko Ueno, and MAPPA. Yamasaki, known for directing Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle and Tada Never Falls in Love, is taking the helm as the director for this anime. Ueno, who has worked on Carole & Tuesday and Astro Note, is responsible for writing the script. The assistant director is Sumie Noro, while Yoshiteru Tsujino is in charge of character and environment concept art. Kayoko Ishikawa is adapting the character designs for animation and is also the chief animation director. Shuuji Takahara, Kazuko Hayakawa, and Etsuko Sumimoto are also serving as chief animation directors. Yukari Hashimoto is composing the music for the series.
The main cast for ZENSHU includes Anna Nagase as Natsuko Hirose, Kazuki Ura as Luke Braveheart, Rie Kugimiya as Unio, Minori Suzuki as Memmeln, and Akio Suyama as QJ.
The story revolves around Natsuko Hirose, an aspiring animator who embarks on her career after graduating from high school. With her exceptional talent, she quickly rises to prominence and becomes a director. However, her lack of experience in love becomes an obstacle when she is tasked with creating a romantic comedy movie centered around first love. As she struggles to understand the concept, Natsuko finds herself unable to create the storyboard, bringing the movie production to a halt.
Fans can look forward to an exhibit for ZENSHU at Bushiroad’s booth during AnimeJapan 2024.
