The live-action adaptation of Kana Ozawa’s Blue Moment manga has recently revealed five new cast members who will be joining the series.

Sawa Nimura joins as Hikaru Maruyama, a driver and cook in the SDM Counter-measure Headquarters. Comedian Dai Okabe from Hanako trio plays Hiroki Yamagata, an SDM Information Team member. Takuma Otoo portrays Naoto Satake, Chief of Tokyo Firefighting Agency’s Firefighting Rescue division. Kami Hiraiwa takes on the role of Kasumi Ueno, Chief of JMA’s Meteorological Research Institute’s Forecast Research Department. Lastly, Miki Maya plays Ran Tachibana, a General Affairs minister who clashes with the SDM.

Kana Ozawa’s manga, “The Blue Moment,” centers on Aya Kumota, who begins working at the Japan Meteorological Agency. A chance encounter with Kankurō Haruhara, a handsome SDM worker, leads to unexpected twists in her life.
