After concluding the ‘Nichijou’ manga with its tenth volume in 2015, Arawi initially felt exhausted and took a break from manga creation to explore other creative avenues. However, during this hiatus, his passion for manga continued to burn within him. To try and extinguish it, Arawi started working on a new manga titled ‘CITY’ in a weekly magazine.

But to his surprise, working on ‘CITY’ reignited his love for manga and reminded him of how enjoyable the creative process was. This realization, combined with the overwhelming love and support he received from fans through letters, played a pivotal role in his decision to revisit ‘Nichijou’ after six years.

Arawi’s Connection with the Characters of ‘Nichijou’

However, on October 20, 2021, Arawi announced the exciting news of the manga’s resumption. ‘Nichijou’ is now being serialized in Monthly Shonen Ace, with the eagerly awaited eleventh volume released on December 26, 2022.
